Away from the camera, I'm most at home somewhere between my corner of South Florida and wherever I've talked myself into flying next. I find inspiration in the small things as much as the grand ones: a cozy hotel lobby bar, a dinner where everyone lingers, an old film worth rewatching, the way morning light falls across a room. I'm reliably overdressed for something casual or underdressed for something formal, there's rarely an in-between.

The people I photograph tend to arrive with a clear sense of what they want and a rare, generous trust in letting someone else help bring it to life. That's my favorite place to begin, and an honor I don't take lightly. I'd love to hear what you're imagining, and to play a small part in making it something you'll keep.

I fell for photography in a museum, not a wedding. I was studying fashion at the time, and I found myself in front of a portrait that had outlived everyone in it. You know the feeling, when a piece of art draws you in and you couldn't quite say why? It struck me that an image could hold a person so completely. I knew I wanted to create photographs that let people see themselves the way I was seeing her.

Everything I've done since has been in service of that idea. I care less about capturing what happened and more about capturing what it felt like to be there: the warmth of a room, the charge between two people, the details someone spent a year choosing and might otherwise forget. I shoot on film and digital both, because film reminds me to slow down and see. The goal is always the same, photographs you won't just look back on, but want to live with.
